Will One Man Change IslamaBAD To IslamaGOOD

At Change.Org there is a petition to change the name of Islamabad to… IslamaGood? Yes this is what happens when you let people say anything on the internet and give them a platform, but this seems like it’s all in good fun. At least we hope, otherwise the next war could effectively be started because of an internet troll. Which might not be the first time that’s happened.

The Petition was created by Ayham Abrar who stated “Islam is good. Pakistan love Islam. Why IslamaBAD? Love from Bangladesh” on his petition which you can see here. As of now there are over 800 signatures for this change, and even if the entire world signs it I can guarantee you nothing will happen since that is the nature of petitions on change.org.

Still it was funny, and it did bring up a complaint. This person was thinking with an English hat and not like someone from Pakistan, where Islamabad is just in case you didn’t know that fact just like me. Doing a quick Wiki search it is stated that Islamabad pretty much means “City of Islam”. Abad, meaning a cultivated place in Persian. *Cue the “More You Know” Outro”

While I won’t be signing this petition I’m more than happy to sign petitions for causes I believe in. Like lifetime imprisonment for those who call hot dogs a sandwich.
